The American Southwest

Summer ended quickly. This reminds me about the roundtrip we took right before it started, on Memorial Day weekend. The American Southwest is a place of contrasts: ugly and beautiful, depending on where you go. Of course, the beautiful places make the area worth visiting over and over again. As Monument Valley is part of Utah, I'm not sure if it's still the southwest or simply the west, but it's awesome anyway. Borders representing geographical regions (not countries) might be better shown as shades of gray rather than black and white.
