Ruidoso/Ski Apache and Cloudcroft in the Fall

Ups and downs in life seem to be inevitable. My greatest concern is the future itself. I almost regretted coming, and felt guilty for falling behind on school work, but I believe that this was necessary. Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Bushman, from MCM, I stayed at the MCM Elegante for free:

The Ski Apache area was not as spectacular as I've seen in the past. Some aspen trees were still green, while others had shed their leaves completely:

All these trips to New Mexico that I've done every October for the past six years are thanks to this webcam, which allows me to see the aspen trees in Cloudcroft, near these shown below on Highway 82:

Through a now old image in Google Earth I discovered these maples:

This is the first time that I see that maples have started shedding their leaves before the Aspen trees in Cloudcroft. There might be a chance to see them in McKittrick Canyon or Devil's Hall in a week or two. We'll see.
