Museums and Churches in South Florida

There are a few hidden gem museums in South Florida. I might've been about to miss parts of this weekend trip as school had been cancelled that day as well as the previous day due to a winter storm that left a slushy mixture of sleet and snow on Wednesday night. This was the first weekend after Christmas break. Some of that slush melted on Thursday, but most of it froze that night, so classes were cancelled again on Friday. Most of that slush had melted by Friday afternoon, at least the slush that was left on the streets. Luckily, there seemed to be no cancellations, just delays at DFW. The flight to Miami left right on time:

On Saturday I started the day visiting a botanical garden and an art museum in Coral Gables:

In Miami I visited the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, followed by the Gesu Church, the Perez Art Museum (no pictures as it was not worth it), an aquarium/science museum, the Superblue museum, and the Rubell museum:

Before taking a train to West Palm Beach I visited Ocean Drive for the second time that day. This place is highly overrated, especially during the day, so I'm only including the pictures that were taken at night:

This is the church that I visited in Palm Beach, followed by an art museum in West Palm Beach and the Henry Flagler Museum:

Boca Raton has a small art museum. A few canvasses are worth seeing:

This was not such a great short trip as I had expected, as I've liked the Tampa Bay/Sarasota museums more than the ones in South Florida, but at least I've crossed this area off my bucket list, at least Eastern South Florida. There might be a few spots to explore on the west side as well as the Keys.
