As you walk into the cave you expect to see all those piles of gold and jewels. Instead you only see stalactites and stalagmites.
The temperatures were supposedly 56°F (13°C), however it did not feel that cold. That was probably because the air was stagnant. Ironically, the only place with a foul smell was the entrance, as it is where bats live.
Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico seems to be the place where some Disney movies were inspired.
